Major Action by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath – 12 Officials Suspended
Deoria Murder Case: In a significant development regarding the Deoria murder case, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken swift and decisive action. In connection with the brutal murder that occurred in Fatehpur village, Rudrapur, 12 individuals, including the Sub-District Magistrate (SDM), Tehsildar, and Kotwal, have been suspended. This incident, which shook the community, took place on October 2.

Deoria Murder Case: Apart from Sub-District Magistrate Yogesh Kumar Gaur and Area Officer Rudrapur District Jeet, Head Constable Rajesh Pratap Singh, Constable Avneesh Chauhan, Light Incharge/Sub Inspector Jai Prakash Dubey, and Incharge Inspector Naveen Kumar Singh have also faced suspension. Additionally, Constable Kailash Patel, Constable Ram Pratap Kannaujiya, Subhash Yadav, and Sub Inspector Sunil Kumar, former Inspector-in-Charge of Rudrapur, who were found responsible for negligence in handling IGRS cases in the past, have been suspended.
Furthermore, departmental action is set to be initiated against former Deputy District Magistrate Ram Vilas, Om Prakash, Dhruv Shukla, and Sanjeev Kumar Upadhyay. Retired Tehsildar Vanshraj Ram and retired Revenue Inspector Ramanand Pal are also under investigation. An additional chargesheet has been issued to Abhay Raj, who is currently suspended as a Tehsildar.
On a different note, instructions have been given to suspend the then Tehsildar Ramashray and the current Tehsildar of Balrampur district and initiate departmental action. Keshav Kumar, Tehsildar of Rudrapur, has been suspended and will face departmental proceedings. The then Area Officer, Rudrapur, Dinesh Kumar Singh Yadav, has also faced departmental action.
District Magistrate Akhand Pratap Singh emphasized that the government has taken serious action in response to the brutal murder of five family members in Fatehpur village, Rudrapur. The suspension of 12 officials, including the SDM, CO, and two Tehsildars, is in line with government orders and will be implemented promptly.
